I love the challenge of shooting in new locations. I find myself capturing a lot of weddings in the Twin Cities, so when I get a chance to travel a bit for the big "I do," it keeps things fresh in the creative corners of my mind. Sarah and Chad did their e-session in a gritty, urban setting, making Stillwater a total change in venue for sweetheart shots. We planned on spending most of our time at Pioneer Park, but luck would have it that the owners of a huge Victorian house next door were kind enough to let us use their backyard and gazebo for the majority of our formals. A small waterfall and lots of green provided a gorgeous backdrop.
What a day, what a great wedding party, and what a fantastic-looking couple!
There's still time to enter our "Be Free" contest. Here's the info on our incredible giveaway:

The only thing we can't give away are the travel fees. If selected as the winning couple, please understand that you'll be responsible for paying the following location rates, as they cover flight + hotel.
Warm weather and green grass means two things: May is here and the chaos that is "wedding season" just arrived. I couldn't be more excited! It also means I'm shooting the final e-sessions for our 2009 weddings. Kate and Andrew were a great couple to start the season with. Their chemistry was electric and they were naturals with the camera. We hit up St. Anthony Main and grabbed some great shots that would make you forget we were shooting in downtown Minneapolis.
Six Steps Photography just got a major overhaul, including a new name (Studio Blue Photography), a new look, and a new blog. The blog has been a long time coming, but it only made sense that I roll out a new way to keep all you couples out there updated on our latest work. I hope you enjoy the images that are soon to make their way here, and encourage you to visit www.studiobluemn.com for more info on our creative approach to wedding photography.
Stylish + stunning images for the modern bride. All packages include e-session, no hourly limits on your big day, and our uber-popular {Blue} Booth. Best of all, working with Studio Blue is fun (who would want it any other way?).

What can we say? With an awesome name like Studio {Blue}, there's bound to be others who like it just as much. So there's no confusion: we are a boutique studio located in Minnesota, and are not associated with Bella Pictures or Minneapolis photog T.C. Worley. Who knew it'd be such a popular name?
At Studio {Blue}, meeting the basic needs of those who suffer most in the world is a cause very close to our hearts. It's our hope that visiting these websites will open your mind and your heart and inspire you to embrace causes that can save a life.
