Kate + Luke | Married

This summer, more than ever, I've had the privilege of shooting at some of the most amazing locations. Recently added to that list was the Water Street Inn. Each room has a totally different decor--all with vintage furniture + classic colors--providing Joey (our main second shooter) and I with some killer backdrops. And as if that wasn't enough, the large sliding doors to the patios gave us soft, dramatic lighting for pictures that pushed toward a studio feel.

True to their personalities (check out their wedding cake topper), Kate + Luke were open to having a lot of fun as we captured the town of Stillwater around them. Thanks to a willing + wild wedding party, we had a blast hitting the streets for a ton of stylish, urban formals--and dodged a bridal street fight...which Kate's bridesmaids would've won. ;)

After a quaint ceremony + a beautiful reception + a lot of dancing, we kicked off our photo booth unleashed. While we got our share of guests in this one, the wedding party couldn't get enough and turned it into a bridal photo shoot. I think that inspired Joey and I to make a few cameos (see below). After all, why can't the photographers have a little fun, too! Still, my favorite shot of the night was right outside the Inn. As it turns out, Kate's father is a police officer, so we had to get a picture in front of a Stillwater police car. Thanks to a cop that was in the area, we were able to snag the photos at the end of this post...what a thrill to capture!

In the end, the day went by too quickly, but we'll never forget the great time we had at this wedding.

Vendors that impressed us...
